Chiropractic is based on the theory that when the spinal column
is not working correctly this in turn affects the nerves in the
spine, which in turn affect the nerves, muscles and bones elsewhere
in the body.
Since the nervous system is so central to the functioning of every
component in the body, pressure or structural
problems affecting the spine can have far reaching affects on the
body. This can result in a whole range of illnesses from asthma,
menstrual problems, headaches, sciatica and behavioural problems.
By spinal manipulation a chiropractor can swiftly
and efficiently move bones and joints back into place.
Most chiropractors today use a combination of
techniques such as acupuncture, ultra-sound, electrical stimulation,
massage, homeopathic remedies. Chiropractic is now widely recognised
by the traditional medical establishment and is now even covered
by some health insurers. Is now widely recognised by the traditional
