flower remedies
After spending many years observing his patient's personalities
Dr Edward Bach, a Harley street specialist, came to the conclusion
that fear and anger-the destroyers of health and happiness-caused
illness to manifest in our bodies. This revolutionary theory explains
how we create our illness through mental and emotional 'dis-ease'.
Convinced that nature was a limitless storehouse providing us with
remedies to cure all ills, Dr. Bach abandoned fame and fortune to
search for his 38 remedies. These deal with moods such as impatience,
known and unknown fears, panic shock etc. as well as personality
traits such as being critical and intolerant over sensitive, indecisive,
overly obliging etc.
The remedies are designed to help us transform our lives by changing
our attitudes. However most people seem to use them for temporary
relief, like taking an aspirin for a headache. Unlike children who
are still 'open' and respond quickly to the remedies, adults' unconscious
self programming tend to block change. By affirming we are 'worriers',
lack confidence, are victims etc. we send a message that cancels
the remedies. In contrast, positive intent and affirmations open
the door to change.
The 38 Bach flower remedies, along with rescue remedy used for
emergencies, are popular worldwide. They are safe, effective and
inexpensive.
