New Life Learning welcomes New US
Representative
Dublin, Ireland, June 4th, 2003: New Life Learning is delighted
to announce that Stephen Shore, recognised in the US and internationally
for raising awareness of the needs and contribution of people on
the autistic spectrum, has agreed to become our representative in
the U.S.
Everyday Stephen brings hope to parents of children with ASD.
Himself diagnosed with "atypical development with strong autistic
tendencies" and non verbal until the age of four, Stephen Shore
was considered "too sick" to be treated on an outpatient
basis. Stephen Shore is now completing his doctoral degree in special
education in Boston University with a focus on helping people on
the autism spectrum develop their capacities to the fullest extent
possible.
Currently Stephen serves on the board of Directors of the Autism
Society of America, Unlocking Autism, the Autism Services Association
of Massachusetts, the Asperger Syndrome Coalition of the United
States and is Board President of the Asperger's Association of New
England.
As an international author, speaker and teacher, he has made an
immense contribution into our understanding and appreciation of
these disorders. We are delighted to have the opportunity to work
with him.
